Expressions of Liberty

A commentary on the governmental respect for natural human rights as expressed by the founders of the United States and how it effects us today. I also show how the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution and other related documents are not dead documents in America today, but merely ignored and misused.

Name:
Location: Champaign, Illinois, United States

I am a classical liberal which is considered a type of conservative in these modern days. I am pro-right to life, pro-right to liberty, pro-parental rights, pro-right to property and a number of other natural human rights.

Alabama And Its Support Of Religious Bigotry

Alabama Land of The Free. Alabama has given 90% of the control of to the Republican party. That would seem to mean that it is a state that respects a persons religious rights. An Alabama ethics committee removed Chief Justice Roy Moore for refusing to obey a judicial order to remove a ten commandment monument is the State Supreme Court building. The Alabama government looked the other way as a man who was upholding his constitutional oath was removed from office for not committing perjury.

Now the Alabama government shows their hatred for religion and the U.S. Constitution once more when three college students take it into their head to commit a “practical joke” by burning down churches. We are expected to believe the governments claim that this was not a religiously based hate crime despite the fact that only churches were targeted. That the attack appear to have been planned out in advance due to the timing between the original fires. One church may have been a joke gone bad, but five seems to be stretching the story even if you are drunk. I suspicion if five black churches had been targeted it would have been called a racially based hate crime but since the churches had members of both black and white races that does not work.

Alabama claims that it is interested in upholding the values of our foreparents but all I can say is the proof is in the putting and I see no evidence that this pro Republican state is also pro Religious Freedom.

Unfortunatley, being Republican doesn't always mean conservative anymore. This country has taken a major turn to the left.
